support on sliding scale, to sustain the work
-

1:1 or Relationships
Contemplative accompaniment with individuals and relationships of all kinds.
We walk or sit within the ecosystem around us, with practices that support healing, reflection, growth and creativity. I work in person, or by phone or zoom in our own environments. Our contexts are decided together and vary depending on comfort, accessibility, weather, proximity and other conditions.

Strategic Consulting
Generative strategy, group dynamics, and system design for good, meaningful work.
Times of change, uncertainty or tension can be hard for organizations, but they can also be full of possibility. I’m a seasoned adaptive non-profit leader and educator, deeply practiced in complex systems thinking with an ecological imagination. I’d love to support your organization to enact more vital and purposeful environments and processes.
-

Hosting & Facilitation
Building containers, capacities and processes for the conversations we need.
There are times when a conversation or reflection and decision-making process needs stewardship. Whether you want to be part of the conversation instead of facilitating it, or you want to invite participatory, clear, and accessible support, or you just want a creative experience for a meeting you’re planning, I’d love to facilitate.

Conflict Transformation
Mediation, dialogue, process design and care through hard times together.
When things fall apart, or a path is not clear, or there’s been hurt without repair, I can witness, facilitate, and develop care systems that generate healing between people and groups. We need each other in this world and in our work, and conflict transformation is a skill we build by practicing. I’m here to support the process.
about ryun
Hello, and welcome.
I live this life in a general state of curiosity and contemplation, as some kind of rascal, and a person in touch with both grief and elation. I am a poet and a gentle walker. I am nurtured by good, queer love, dedicated friendships, the people and places I deeply care for. I grew up in southern maine, which is Wabanaki land, and I was raised in a working class catholic family of mixed european lineage, including very early settlers in this place.
I grew up on the side of a little mountain. I swam in the lake below, a townie at the town beach. I ate tiny deeply sweet strawberries that grew in the sand on the side of the road on the way there. I spent my days with a patch of meadow out back and a great boulder out front mixed with dirt, sun, things i found around, imagination.
I have been through a lot, been hurt and created hurt, been loved and created love. In all of the complicated journey, I have had to learn practices to remember who I am, and who we might be, and to revive what may serve life.
I called this landing place willful care collective because I hope to invoke energy, commitment, and all the ways we are connecting here, and connected beyond. I am not alone in this, and I hope this work will forge more interconnected support for the ways we each try to show up for life when the forces of our dominant structures are not life-giving. We cannot be alone. And we are not alone.
I offer accompaniment, consulting, facilitation, conflict transformation work, as well as online and in person gatherings on a sliding scale. This supports the work through meaningful engagement and financial reciprocity. Your support fosters the willful care collective while making it possible for me to have time and energy to show up in solidarity and to tend to people and places in community. Money can be sticky, but it also can create the space we need to do what truly matters to our collective lives.
Thank you for all that you are, and all the ways you show up.
